Things I’ve Tried Part 1

The Surprisingly Simple Sleep Protocol

When I first heard about this I though “yeah sure, just another sleep hack among the, already hundreds I’ve tried”…

…but since I really have respect for the guy I learned it from (Tim Ferriss talks about drinking apple cider vinegar and honey for sleep, in one of his podcast episodes), I thought I’d give it a shot…

…and I really have to say, I’m glad I did!

Two hours before I go to bed I put blue ligh blocking glasses on

15-30 minutes before bedtime I mix and drink this:
  • A big cup filled with warm water
  • Add two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
  • Add one tablespoon of honey

Drink and fall sleep with a smile on your face!

There are many different kinds of blue light blocking glasses out there and I’m sure most of them work, just don’t go for the really cheap ones. Personally I wanted quality and if you are interested you can

…in the cold and dark Scandinavia.

Now, obviously, if you don’t get exposed to any of the following:
  • The sun
  • Any digital screen (TV, computers, laptops, smart phone, tablets etc…)
  • Light from fluorescent lamps

…for two-three hours before bedtime, then the drink alone might be enough for you. However, most people, myself included, either work with the computer or watch TV in the hours leading up to bedtime. This can really disturb the production of the sleep hormone melatonin, and thus, the blue light blocking glasses will be a valuable tool.

About the results

I have been suffering from insomnia, on and off, for my whole life and if I can find something that is as effective as ProVanax but costs less money then, hey, that would be great!

I found that, for me, it really helps with falling asleep, albeit it’s not really as effective as the natural supplement ProVanax, which I have written a review about. But, the apple cider vinegar and honey drink is so much cheaper so I’m really happy I found this new insomnia tool…

…oh, and by the way, since I already compared it a bit to ProVanax,  you might be wondering if you can use the apple cider vinegar and honey drink for anxiety as well, and also use it daytime for that? …

…well, then I have to disappoint you because, at least for me, it does not really do anything for anxiety. But hey, I still found a new and healthy way to help with falling asleep. Gotta love that!

If you feel like it, give it a try…

…and thanks for reading!

Much love!
